Abigail lives in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, and has dreamed of becoming a writer for as long as she can remember. She loves the countryside, which really comes over in her novel. As a commercial window cleaner, she knows what it’s like to work in a position typically filled by a male. So writing about a girl farmer was very important to her. She hopes Victoria’s Victorian Victory will encourage young teenage girls to take themselves seriously and not be limited in their career choices. Victoria is designed to be a positive role model for hard work and entrepreneurialism.
Abigail has also had short stories published in Whim Magazine, Pulchritude Press, Platform for Prose, Mystery Weekly, The Flash Fiction Press and Drabble. These are now available to read, among others, in her short story collection My Year of Stories. Her blog posts Lessons on Marketing and How To Use Instagram to Promote Your Content were republished on Invest Grow Repeat. She received a commendation in the 2016 William Soutar Writing Prize and the story was included in the AK Bell Library ebook anthology. She can be found on Instagram and Twitter under the name @abiwriting.
